A California Startup is Taking Their “Moonshot”

Galactic Resource Utilization Space, a California startup, is now accepting refundable deposits of $250,000 to $1 million to reserve spots in its planned lunar hotel, aiming to open by 2032.

The project starts with small inflatable test structures in 2029, evolving to a four-guest inflatable module then a larger 10-person facility built partly from lunar regolith "bricks," with full stays potentially costing over $10 million including travel and training.

In a doubling-down of his announcement to attempt to acquire Greenland, President Trump sent a text to the Prime Minister of Norway, Jonas Gahr Støre.

In the letter, Trump said, “Considering your Country decided not to give me the Nobel Peace Prize for having stopped 8 Wars PLUS, I no longer feel an obligation to think purely of Peace, although it will always be predominant, but can now think about what is good and proper' for the US.”
