We're (Back) in the Endgame Now

Few movies shaped recent pop culture as much as 2019's "Avengers: Endgame" did.

For those of us who were on the Marvel bandwagon at the time, the opening weekend of "Endgame" was truly a cultural phenomenon. People cheered over the revival of all their favorite characters as if a close personal friend was returning from war.

Now, Marvel is trying to recapture the magic by rereleasing "Endgame" in theaters on Sept. 25, almost seven years after the initial release.

Tickets are already on sale, and if you need a little extra incentive, the encore is set to include added footage that ties this movie to the upcoming film "Avengers: Doomsday" (though be warned, reports say the added footage is only four extra minutes).

Is this Marvel's money-grab attempt to fix what's been a poor buildup to "Doomsday"? Definitely. But man, it sure is fun to relive nostalgia. Click here to see the trailer.

This Trick Will Save You Money

Water and electric bills have been brutal lately. It's tempting to unplug everything, light some candles, and call it a lifestyle choice.

While utility rates aren't likely to drop, there is a way to soften the blow.

Utility companies charge more when you use electricity and water during peak hours. Shift that usage to off-peak hours and your bill drops.

To cut costs, try running your dishwasher, taking your showers, and doing your laundry at night, specifically after 9 or 10 p.m. or before 7 a.m.

The savings aren't the only upside to making the change. Read about the other benefits here.

Turns Out You Can't Be an NFL Player and Play College Football

Did you hear about this?

LSU head coach Lane Kiffin recently signed former Cleveland Browns tight end Dae'Quan Wright and Zxavian Harris of the New Orleans Saints, after a court ruling opened a path for fifth-year eligibility.

Unsurprisingly, Ohio State head coach Ryan Day, among other Big Ten coaches, was very frustrated. Day said in a news conference he'd spoken with Big Ten Commissioner Tony Petitti about setting a roster lock-in date to curb the trend, and Oregon's Dan Lanning had echoed similar discomfort.

Now, as of Tuesday, the Big Ten has voted unanimously to ban all players who signed pro contracts, appeared on an NFL roster, or declared for the NFL Draft and didn't withdraw from playing college football.

A few hours later, the SEC also followed suit and passed a similar rule for both football and basketball players.

Interestingly, these bans could open up the Big Ten and the SEC to legal action. See why here.

Dolly Parton, Country Music Icon, Dies at 80

Dolly Parton, the beloved "Queen of Country" whose music and warmth touched generations worldwide, died at age 80, her family announced Tuesday.

Her nephew, Bryan Seaver, shared the news in a video posted to her Instagram, though no cause of death was given.

Parton's stardom spanned six decades, from her country music roots to Hollywood fame in films like "9 to 5."

Known for classics such as "Jolene" and "I Will Always Love You," she was also celebrated for her philanthropy, particularly her Imagination Library, which provided books to children across the world.

Rest in peace, Dolly Parton. We will always love you.
