Good morning! Welcome to The Tradesman, a 5-minute newsletter tailored just for America’s tradesmen.
It’s supposed to be a hot one this week, so make sure you are staying cool on the job site! (For those who need it, here are some tips.)
Congratulations to Bob V. of Settle Muter Electric for winning our gas card giveaway!
Bob, reply to this email if you’d like the card to be from Kroger or Giant Eagle, and we’ll get it sent over to you.
Celebrate the Week of the 4th By Cheering America On
Alright, Tradesmen, it’s time to lock in.
The US Men's National Team has made it to the elimination round of the World Cup, meaning they are now on the pathway to prove they are better than all other countries.
With the 4th of July being this weekend, what’s a better way to prepare than to cheer on our country by screaming at the TV over a sport we barely understand?
Here’s A Guide on The Best Way to Blow Stuff Up
Speaking of the Fourth of July, you cannot have the holiday without fireworks.
Fun fact: It’s actually illegal to have any sort of Independence Day celebration without their presence. (Don’t look that up.)
Now, you can, of course, go watch a nearby show by sitting on the grass like a chump, or you can get your own fireworks and set them off yourself like a man.
Click here for a guide on how to buy the best fireworks that’ll make even the grouchy old man down the street jealous.

Did You Know Ohio Has Another City All the Way in Poland?
If you’re going to be celebrating the Fourth by yourself, just know you have friends in Poland celebrating with you.
Every year, the Live-Action Role-Play group “4th of July” out of Poland gets together and pretends to be Americans from, get this, Pristine Park, Ohio.
When we say pretend, we mean it. For three days, a group of 67 adults gets together in the woods and acts in accordance with a character they have already selected.
There is something extremely odd and comical about seeing how a group of people from a different country perceives Americans/Ohioans and what our culture is.
Ohio Governor's Race Tightens As The Money Rolls In
A new poll has Democrat Amy Acton leading Republican Vivek Ramaswamy 47% to 44% for governor and Sherrod Brown up 48% to 45% over Jon Husted for U.S. Senate, with both Democrats leading riding strong support from voters under 50.
Both gubernatorial campaigns have now raised between $10 million and $11 million in the first half of 2026, with Acton at $10.58 million on an average donation of $24, Ramaswamy at $10.29 million on top of a record $25 million of his own money.
