Your Vote Is a Tool. Don't Leave It in the Truck.
If the relentless political ads running 24/7 haven't already made this clear, it's almost Election Day.
Now, we get it: These days, it's easy to feel completely burned out on politics. But this election is worth being part of. A lot of what's on your ballot affects your kids' schools and your job.
Schools: Districts across Ohio are asking for property tax levies and new income taxes. If they fail, some plan deep cuts.
The trades: Voters in 18 Ohio communities will decide data center measures, including Grove City's Issue 28. Rules like these decide whether projects get built, and whether there's work for the people who build them.
The big races: Ohio picks a new governor and a U.S. senator, and both races are close.
Here's what you need to know:
Please register by Monday, Oct. 5. You can do that here or at your county board of elections until 9 p.m.
Early voting starts Tuesday, Oct. 6.
Voting by mail? Go here to request your ballot by Oct. 27. It must arrive by 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 3.
Voting in person? Bring a photo ID.
Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 3.
Not sure who or what to vote for? Click here to find your sample ballot, along with explanations of each candidate's positions and each ballot measure.
In Ohio's last midterm, nearly half of registered voters stayed home. Your vote is your voice in how your community, your state, and your country are run. Don't be one of the 48%.

It's October Already?!
No, your phone isn't glitching; it really is Oct. 1. Believe us — we're also wondering how this is possible. It feels like just yesterday we were telling you all about the start of summer.
Nevertheless, the new month is here, and with it comes a variety of things worth reporting on.
According to AccuWeather, temperatures this month are expected to slowly drop from the low to mid-70s at the start of the month to the upper 50s by the end, without much rain projected.
Halloween falls on a Saturday this year, with tons of attractions and events leading up to the holiday, including fright nights at Kings Island, Cedar Point, and Kentucky Kingdom.
Why Are There So Many Wasps?
Have you ever noticed how every time fall comes around, so do millions of wasps?
Seriously, it's as if the moment it hits September, wasps emerge out of nowhere with one goal: being completely obnoxious if you ever dare to eat outside.
But why?
According to the University of Illinois, by this time of year, wasp nests are overpopulated, with not enough food to go around, so the wasps are forced to scavenge for their own food.
As it gets colder, the wasps should die out. Until then, keep your food and drinks covered when you're not eating, especially if they're sugary.
