Good morning! Welcome to The Tradesman, a 5-minute newsletter tailored just for America’s tradesmen.

A hunter went looking for a bear but came back with a mountain lion. Read about his story below!

A mind-blowing new study found that popular AI tools like Grok, Gemini, OpenAI, and more are intentionally lying to their users. Scroll down to find out how.

401(k)s vs. Pensions

Which is better for retirement, a pension or a 401(k)?

A pension is funded entirely by the employer, so the money belongs to the company until payments begin.

A 401(k), however, is entirely funded by the employee (often with employer matching), meaning it’s your money from the start.

Click here to read why this, along with other factors, makes 401(k)s the better option.

AI Is Intentionally Lying to You

When AI confidently gives you the wrong answer to your question, turns out it may be doing that on purpose.

A recent study found that popular AI processors such as OpenAI’s Grok, xAI's Gemini, and Meta's Llama showed evidence of correctly solving problems and then intentionally producing incorrect answers.

But just wait, it gets crazier. You can find the full study here and a breakdown of the paper here.
