Happy National American Beer Day!
Between you and us, with the nation in peak election season, this holiday couldn’t come at a better time.
Today is National American Beer Day, a celebration of our country’s long tradition of making some of the finest brews in the world.
In honor of the day, we found a ranking of 16 classic American beers, from worst to best.
In our opinion, Coors Banquet is ranked far too low (it’s easily a top-five beer). What do you think of the rankings?
Ramaswamy Ad Controversy Explained
It wouldn’t be election season without controversy, and Ohio’s governor’s race has landed in a fresh one.
Republican nominee Vivek Ramaswamy released an ad featuring Democratic nominee Amy Acton’s mother, who called Acton a liar and unfit to serve as governor.
The ad drew quick condemnation from Acton, her brother, former President Barack Obama, and Gov. Mike DeWine, who called the use of her mother a low blow. Acton is reportedly estranged from her mother because of abuse she suffered from her stepfather as a child.
Ramaswamy, who is backed by President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance, defended the ad and accused Acton of dodging its claims and spreading lies, repeating his allegation that she has exaggerated accounts of a difficult childhood and homelessness.
Ramaswamy has repeatedly challenged Acton to a debate. She has declined each time, saying she won’t share a stage with a known liar.

Remain Calm, the McRib May Be Returning Soon
Tradesmen, this is not a drill: Reports suggest the McRib may return earlier than its usual late-November comeback.
McDonald’s hasn’t confirmed a date, but the sandwich will be available at select locations nationwide. Some restaurants are reportedly already serving it, with sightings in Toledo, Xenia, Troy, Grove City and Pickerington.
To see whether a store near you has it, or may soon, visit mcriblocator.com.
Will Electronics Prices Ever Go Down?
As we’ve covered in previous editions, electronics prices are sky-high because chipmakers can’t keep up with demand from data centers.
So will prices come down? Yes, but not for a while.
For now, most people still need phones and laptops for work and everyday life, so they keep buying even as prices climb. Over time, more people will put off upgrades or hold on to older devices. Once new chip factories come online, prices should ease.
