Not That Long Ago, In A Spaceship Far, Far, Away
The Artemis II crew made history Monday, traveling farther from Earth than any human ever has.
The spacecraft flew 252,752 miles from Earth, more than 61 times the previous record set by Apollo 13 in 1970.
To mark the moment, the crew suggested two names for moon craters they had never seen before. One crater would be named after the Artemis II mission. The other would be called "Carroll," named after Commander Reid Wiseman's wife, who died of cancer in 2020.
