Parents of Young Kids, Beware

Brace yourselves. Tomorrow, the new live-action "Moana" hits theaters.

If you're asking yourself, "Does Disney even know how to make an original movie anymore?" you're not alone.

Critics are already slamming the movie as a soulless, shot-for-shot remake that just makes you wish you were watching the animated version, while also pointing out how out of place Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's very obvious wig is.

The biggest fear, however, is the inevitable effect this movie will have on our children. Seriously, if we have to listen to "How Far I'll Go" one more time…

If you're curious, here's the trailer, and the reviews are here.

Supreme Court Will Hear New Second Amendment Case

Last week, the Supreme Court announced it will hear appeals challenging bans on semiautomatic firearms imposed in various states.

The last time the court ruled on the scope of the Second Amendment was in 2022, when it held that Americans have a right to carry firearms in public.

Arguments are not expected to be heard until the fall.

Read more about the background of the case here.

Preliminary Hearing Begins in Charlie Kirk Killing

A preliminary hearing that began Monday is now stretching into several days as the court reviews the evidence in the Tyler Robinson case.

Robinson stands accused of murdering Turning Point [USA founder] Charlie Kirk on Sept. 10, 2025.

Under Utah law, the court must first review the evidence in a preliminary hearing before a judge decides whether there is probable cause that a crime has been committed.

So far, videos of Kirk's death, new footage allegedly showing Robinson climbing to a rooftop at the campus where Kirk was shot, DNA evidence, and more have been presented.
