The NFL Is Back
If the sky looks bluer today and the sun a little brighter, it's because the NFL season kicks off Wednesday.
The Patriots and Seahawks open in Seattle at 8:20 p.m. EDT, with the Seahawks favored.
College football started last Saturday, Aug. 29, and more teams open this weekend.
We don't know about you, but we cannot wait to park ourselves in front of the TV until February.
See the full NFL schedule and the college football schedule.
Ohio is the Wettest State in the Nation
If you live in Ohio, this next fact may surprise you: the rest of the country is in drought.
Every state has at least a portion of its land reporting dry conditions — every state, that is, except Ohio.
That's no shock, given the rain the Buckeye State has seen over the past month and a half, from passing showers to the thunderstorms some areas are still cleaning up from.
While the rest of the country begs for rain, we've been begging for it to stop.

Things To Do With Your Kids This Fall
Now that Labor Day has passed, many Ohioans consider fall underway, even though the season doesn't officially start until Sept. 22.
In this edition and past ones, we've covered plenty of fall activities, from football to hunting. But what about family-friendly options?
We found a list of 40 fall activity ideas built for kids. We especially recommend apple picking and a trip to a corn maze. Trust us, they'll love it.
Election Season Nears as National Eyes Turn to Ohio's Senate Race
Ohio's Nov. 3 election is drawing national attention. The Senate race between Sen. Jon Husted, R-Ohio, and former Sen. Sherrod Brown, a Democrat, has pulled in more than $174 million from outside groups.
Brown has outraised Husted every quarter this year. The open governor's race pits Republican Vivek Ramaswamy against Democrat Amy Acton.
Early in-person voting begins Oct. 6 and runs through Nov. 1, giving Ohioans nearly a month to cast ballots ahead of Election Day. Check your registration and find your polling place through the Ohio Secretary of State's voter toolkit.
