Christopher Nolan's Next Big Film Hits Theaters Tomorrow

Christopher Nolan, one of the few directors whose name alone gets people to show up to movie theaters, releases his next highly anticipated movie, "The Odyssey," tomorrow.

For those who don't know, "The Odyssey" is the title of a famous Greek poem by Homer, dating to between 750 and 650 B.C. It follows the story of a king who is trying to return home after war but is delayed by multiple encounters with the Greek gods.

Though it has yet to be released, the film has already been surrounded by controversy, with people criticizing Nolan's casting choices.

Others, meanwhile, are waiting for "The Odyssey's" release with high anticipation, eager to see Nolan's take on the thousands-of-years-old story.

Independence Day May Be Over, But We're Not Done Celebrating

Hang on. You think just because the Fourth of July has passed, that means we're done celebrating America's anniversary? Think again.

There are still plenty of things happening around the state in honor of America's 250th.

If you enjoy spending time outside, try the America 250 ODNR Challenge, a 250-mile hiking challenge spread out over multiple trails through Ohio's parks. If you want something more accessible or family-friendly, the challenge also offers a 25-mile option.

That's only a taste of what's still happening. All over the state and country, there are ice cream socials, concerts, races, and more planned. See the full America 250 events calendar for Ohio, and the national calendar, for more.

The Best Kind of Trail Is An Ice Cream Trail

Speaking of trails, here's the one that might be worth hiking most: Ohio's Ice Cream Trail.

Put together by TourismOhio, the trail marks all the best ice cream shops in the state, broken up by region. Even better, this year the trail has expanded to include 195 stops.

With July being National Ice Cream Month, what better way to celebrate than eating the best ice cream the state has to offer? See all the locations on the ice cream trail and start hiking.

Ohio Chamber of Commerce Endorses Candidate for Governor

The Ohio Chamber of Commerce, the state's largest business network, endorsed Republican gubernatorial nominee Vivek Ramaswamy on Tuesday.

Chamber President and CEO Steve Stivers cited Ramaswamy's tax policy as a key factor, pointing to his goals of eliminating the capital gains tax and eventually the state income tax.

With November approaching, polling has tightened unexpectedly between Ramaswamy and Democratic nominee Amy Acton, with several prediction sites calling the race a toss-up.
