Good morning! Welcome to The Tradesman, a 5-minute newsletter tailored just for America’s tradesmen.
Well, our so-called “gas specialist” was wrong. It’s been a week, and gas prices haven’t dropped.
Rest assured, the gas specialist has been sacked, and those responsible for hiring the gas specialist have also been sacked.
This also means our gas card giveaways are back. Click here to enter for a chance to win a $50 gas card to Sheetz, Speedway, or Shell.
The World Cup is Here!
Let's face it, this may be the only time you'll read about soccer in The Tradesman. But the World Cup is a big deal to millions of people, and this year, it is being hosted right here in the U.S. of A.
If you only care about when the U.S. plays (and we don't blame you), the U.S. is set to take the field (also known as “the pitch”) tomorrow at 11 p.m. EDT against Paraguay at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.
As for the other matches, the World Cup Cup opens with Mexico facing South Africa today at 3 p.m. in Mexico City.
Mexico will have home-field advantage, which could prove especially tough for South Africa. Mexican fans have a history of throwing bags of urine onto the field and chanting slurs at players, conduct that has drawn FIFA sanctions in the past.
This New Alien Movie Comes in Peace
Thursday, June 12, is the release day of Steven Spielberg's new film "Disclosure Day." If you're a fan of aliens, thrillers, or simply a well-told story, this movie is for you.
According to Spielberg, though the film is being categorized as science fiction, he doesn't view it as fiction but more as a realistic reflection of what is actively happening in the world right now.
As critics continue to praise the movie, UFO believers and skeptics alike are eager to see what Spielberg aims to share with the public.
If you haven’t seen it, watch the trailer here and find showtimes here.

Get Complete Silence Without Spending Hundreds
Noise-canceling headphones might be one of the greatest recent inventions. The ability to put something over your ears and shut out the outside world is top-notch.
What's irritating is that most headphones on the market with this capability, or that are actually high quality, run more than $100.
Worry About Gas Prices, Not Our Paychecks
Union or not, that's your call to make, but the Faster Labor Contracts Act the House just passed would let a federal panel change the relationship between you and your employer.
Here's a thought: maybe Washington, and Sen. Bernie Moreno, R-Ohio, should spend less time worrying about who we work for and how we get paid and more time on what we're paying at the pump. Just a thought.
