Good morning! Welcome to The Tradesman, a 5-minute newsletter tailored just for America’s tradesmen—presented by Grab Your Gear.
In case you live under a rock and didn’t know, the Super Bowl took place yesterday. Hopefully, none of you lost any money on the game.
Tensions are continuing to rise between the US and Iran, leading many to wonder what the next steps are. Read more about the situation and how your friends and family might be affected below.
The ridiculous (and confusing) internet joke of “67” has officially made its way into politics. Scroll down to find out which politician is using it to “connect” with young voters.
Trump’s Big Cut on Prescription Drugs
If you take prescription drugs, you might be able to save up to 80% of what you are paying now. Last week, President Trump launched a direct-to-consumer website called TrumpRx in an attempt to lower the cost of prescription drugs in the United States.
Think of it as a “Big Box” store for prescription drugs – cutting out the middleman and moving to a direct-to-consumer program. Here is the website: https://trumprx.gov/
Persian Gulf Conflict Intensifies
If you have friends or family in the military, you’re probably watching events in the Middle East. Last week, Iran seized two oil tankers in the Persian Gulf. The seizure came one day before the U.S. and Iran were expected to meet for nuclear talks.
Tensions between the countries remain high as American forces in the Middle East continue to increase.
Read more on the conflict here.

Winter Olympics Incoming
The Super Bowl is over, so now on to the Winter Olympics. An expected 2 billion people globally are expected to watch the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan. The U.S. audience is expected to be around 56 million, with the highest numbers centering on marquee events such as figure skating (48% of viewers) and NHL-featured ice hockey (34% of viewers). Click here to find out how you can watch.
Kamala’s Strange “67” Strategy
Kamala Harris is looking to motivate America’s youth vote. Former Vice President Kamala Harris’ social media account, “KamalaHQ,” went dark after she lost her 2024 presidential bid, but now, she’s back. A relaunch called “headquarters_67” is up and running on X and TikTok. It’s part of her new organization's mission to mobilize young voters leading up to the midterm elections in November.
For those unfamiliar, “67” is a nonsensical trend from mostly Generation Alpha (roughly ages 8–13) referencing an internet-famous rapper. It appears as if Kamala’s team is attempting to seem “hip and cool” with a group of people who are too young to vote. Read more about the name change here.
